Card collecting can be a lucrative hobby. Any card today may actually be more valuable after a decade or so. That is why it is important that each card is kept looking brand new.

Collectors occasionally trade cards with each other. Trading can be fun and it’s a great way to find cards you’ve wanted to own. However, there’s always the danger of finding your card crumpled or creased. You can keep your NFL cards protected with an NFL card holder. Card holders allow you to show off your collection without having to worry about the cards getting damaged in the process.

Collecting baseball cards is not just a hobby for an avid baseball fan like my self. It’s an obsession. I would guard my precious cards with my life. That’s how obsessed I am.

I kept my cards in a cashbox with a lock to be sure they are safe and secure. I was scared my cards would get ruined if I displayed them. But a big part of me wanted to flaunt my collection. Thankfully I learned of the MLB card display. I can keep my cards visible for the whole world to see but at the same time safe from creases, accidental water spills, and the curious hands of kids.

baseball card holderBaseball card collectors and mothers have something in common. They are both extremely protective of their babies—infants for moms and baseball cards for collectors. Moms can protect their babies with car seats, but how can collectors keep their cards in shape? One option is by using a baseball card holder.

Card holders are easy to use and provide ample protection for valuable cards. By putting your favorite cards in holders you are ensuring they will not be damaged by water, air or get torn or crumpled. If you don’t have kids, your baseball cards are like your babies. So keep them safe and protect their value.

trading card display case

For years my little brother has collected trading cards from all sorts of sport’s teams. He has so many that he has a hard time finding places to store them. So for the past couple years he has had them put away in shoeboxes underneath his bed. His birthday was coming up and I really wanted to get him something special.

I shopped around for a while at some local sports gear stores and didn’t find anything. I didn’t want to get him more cards because he couldn’t manage the ones he already. So I began looking online at sports memorabilia sites and I finally found something great. A trading card display case—why didn’t I think of it before? It would be perfect for displaying some of the valuable cards under his bed.

mini MLB helmet display case

For the avid major league baseball (MLB) fan, there are a variety of decorative displays for the home, office, or personal desk. These displays can help you highlight all your treasured baseball memorabilia, enhancing their aesthetic look with the addition of a beautiful case.

Take for example a mini MLB helmet display case. If you have a particularly loved baseball trading card, you can preserve that card in its mint condition with a display case. While some people refuse to take the cards out of the wrapping, display cases are a great way to appreciate the card itself without subjecting it to any potential damage.

And the mini helmet is a great embellishment to these display cases. A scaled down replica of a regulation baseball helmet, these helmets lend your sports memorabilia authenticity and an attractive display.

The display cases are also durable enough that they are safe to place in a child’s room. This means you can share the love of baseball with your children without keeping the memorabilia itself out of their reach.

PGA More Popular Than Ever

pga golfWith the introduction of exciting players such as Tiger Woods, the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) has seen a huge increase in viewers and interested parties. In general, there are more people interested in professional golf now than there has been in many years.

And with this increase in viewers, the sport is also bringing in more revenue from golf memorabilia. One golf token that is selling particularly well are PGA trading cards. Like baseball cards, these cards feature prominent figures in the sport and their pertinent stats. Because these are every bit as attractive and collectible as MLB trading cards or the cards from any other sport, it is a good idea to invest in a PGA card display.

These cases provide a clear and durable display for your cards as well as an attractive base. As added decoration, these displays also feature a mounted, regulation golf ball.

Choose from a single, double, or triple display, depending on the size of your collection.

MLB card display

I had a great collection of baseball cards.  The pinnacle of this collection was a Michael Jordan rookie baseball card that has since gone up ten times in value.  The problem is that my roof developed a leak and our basement flooded.

Many things were ruined in that flood, but the one that I regret the most is that sports card.  I don’t really care about the monetary value, but I sure would have liked to keep that card for myself.  An MLB card display in my living room would have solved that one for me.

For those of us who collect sports memorabilia, it is so important to store them in a safe place.  It is bizarre that some people have amazing collections that appreciate in value over time, but don’t take care of the items, thus loosing the value of the collection.

If you are a collector at heart, then it is natural that you should get a basketball card display, for example, that shows off you items in a respectful way as well as retaining the value.  The card is only as good as the creases.

This next season could prove to be an interesting one!  Take a look at the Calgary Flames as an example.  Todd Bertuzzi is the newest member of the Flames.  Here’s hoping his hockey skills are better than his hoodlum thrills.  Were the Flames thinking it was better and safer to have him on their side or play against him?  I wonder how the fans will manage when he skates onto Saddledome ice?  Hopefully his hockey trader card will be worth something someday.  In any event, I have many others that I am truly proud to own that I keep in sport card displays.
